10 minutes doesn’t seem like a long period of time. I mean really, what can you do in only 10 minutes?

How about give clean water to a child in need?

In honor of World Water Month UNICEF has created a mobile app that encourages people to put their phones down for this cause. Leave your phone alone for 10 minutes and their sponsor will donate a day’s worth of clean water to a child in need. So one hour equals six days of water. Six days.

The motivation of the app is to encourage people to cut off access to something they deem necessary in order to raise awareness and funds for something that is truly vital for human survival. The simple act of doing nothing with your phone will result is something big for a great cause.

You can click here to learn more about this app and the movement. I’ve already put my phone down. How about you?

XOXO,
